Make Phone Calls from Your Prospects' Local Area Code
This feature is only available for Custom plans
As long as the feature is enabled on your account (contact your CSM or email support@apollo.io for more details on how to do this), reps in Apollo can appear to have the local area code of any contact they call.
What It Does
Calling from a recognizable local area code has been proven to increase response rates and lead to more outbound opportunities. Prospects are used to being contacted by salespeople, so many choose to ignore phone calls from area codes they don’t recognize.
To mitigate this difficulty, the local number feature allows your contacts to see their area code. Even if they call the number back after missing it, returned calls will go to the real number that you made the call from.
Here’s How It Works
Once the setting is turned on for your team, you will see a new tab for Team Numbers on the Calls page. This section houses all of the numbers your teammates have setup in Apollo, and we'll reference them anytime we notice a matching area code for a given contact -
Pro Tip: To get the most out of this feature, you will have to create phone numbers in Apollo for the area codes you'd like to cover. Check out this resource for details on how to setup a new phone number.
Team members can opt to call from matching local numbers by default. To do that, go to Settings > You > Voice > Use a local phone number by default, shown underneath 'Your Apollo Phone Number'.
If local dials aren’t selected by default, the dialer will use your own Apollo number instead. That said, you can always select the local number as needed.
To do this manually from the dialer, click the phone icon at the top right and select the From: dropdown to select a local number -
