Updated Privacy Policy, Service Terms, Data Processing Addendum, and Features That Will Help With GDPR
At Apollo, we take privacy and security very seriously, which is why we’ve updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in anticipation of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We’ve clarified how and when we use data and the rights that you have to that data.
This regulation changes the way that salespeople and marketers can engage people in the EU. Apollo has already taken the necessary steps to become compliant with GDPR and we’ve assembled the information and tools your team needs to protect your own compliance while using our platform.
Here is a summary of the recent updates and changes:
- Updated Terms of Service including our Data Processing Addendum
- Updated Privacy Policy and Privacy Center
- Apollo’s GDPR Compliance Overview & Frequently Asked Questions
- Overview of Apollo’s features for GDPR Compliance
We’ve also built new GDPR compliance safeguard settings for Apollo, and these give you the ability to:
- Block contacts located in the EU while prospecting
- Disable email tracking for prospects located in the EU
- Block ability to sequence prospects located in the EU
Find these settings under Settings > Org, and read over this resource to see how they work. Aside from the three settings built specifically for GDPR, there are other features you can leverage to remain compliant as well. Below is also a list of the scenarios that may arise, and the features best suited to handle each.
