For Teams That Have This Feature Enabled, This Guide has Everything You Need to Know For Setting Up Your International VOiP Phone Number
This feature is only available for Enterprise plans
International dialing is available within Apollo for VOiP (IE. through your browser) phone calls as an add-on feature. If this is enabled in your app, follow the steps below to set up your international number for outbound and inbound calls. If you don't currently have international dialing setup and are interested in having this feature, contact support@apollo.io and we'll be happy to get you what you need to activate it!
Can I Bridge Calls to an International Mobile Phone Number?
Currently, this is not supported in Apollo - you can only use VOIP (browser-based calling). If you select the option to bridge to a mobile phone, you will only be able to use a U.S. based phone number. To request this type of functionality for international numbers, please email support@apollo.io.
Important: Not All Countries Have Available Numbers for VOiP Calls in Apollo.
The third party provider that we use to integrate voice calls into Apollo supports many countries for international dialing, but not all. To check what countries are available, please reference the section for 'Voice Enabled Only Phone Numbers' on the list found here. Only countries that are in GA (as opposed to Preview or Beta) and require no address to be registered will be able to generate numbers in Apollo.
How To Set It Up
1. Go to Settings > You > Voice and click 'Get Phone Number.'
2. Enter the ISO Alpha-2 Code for your country and click 'Search.' This is not the same as the numerical country code in the phone number, but is a 2 syllable letter code (IE. BR for Brazil, FR for France). If you're not sure what your ISO Alpha-2 code is, you can locate it on the list found here.
3. Select a phone number from the given list and click 'Choose.'
4. If you wish to change your phone number, click the trash can icon next to the current one to restart the process. You are able to generate 5 numbers per month, so it's important to be aware how frequently you request new numbers.
