Correct the Bounced Email and Retry Sending the Email to the Contact
When you have a contact that returned a bounced email in a sequence, we'll show the sequence status for that contact as 'Bounced'.
For example:
Generally speaking, emails bounce because there's an error with the recipient's inbox, suggesting that the email address doesn't exist.
In order to resume a bounced contact in a sequence, you'd need to first correct the contact's email address and then, retry sending the bounced email.
- Important Note: After you update the contact's email address, we will send the email to the updated email address when you retry sending.
1. Navigate to the contact's profile and hover over the email address field to show the Edit button:
2. Select Edit to update the contact's email address > click Save to confirm changes:
3. Once the email address is updated, locate the bounced email in the contact's activities > select the ... option on the email > click Retry to retry sending:
If the retry is successful, the contact will resume in the sequence and we will place the contact in the step after the one they bounced from.
