How Direct Dial Requests Work
This feature is only available for Custom plans
Each time we successfully provide a direct dial for a given record, you will always be charged at least two credits. The exact credit charge is dynamically calculated based on your pricing plan, however, so note that some lighter plans may require more than two credits per direct dial.
Some direct dials will be provided immediately, and others may take up to 24 hours to process. Any time you request a direct dial, you can track its progress by going to Settings > Data Request History > Direct Dial Requests:
Important note: Unlike emails, we will not prevent you from trying to re-enrich a direct dial right after it has been provided. If you re-enrich a direct dial and it returns the same phone number, we will still charge credits for the request.
How to Request Direct Dials
Apollo allows you to request direct dial enrichment for any contacts, regardless of where they came from. Here are the ways that you can do it.
From the Contacts Page
The Contacts page shows an aggregate of all of the records that you have added to Apollo. From here, you can select and enrich direct dials for any contact(s) you select by clicking More > Enrich Direct Dials:
From an Existing Contact's Profile
From within an existing contact profile, you can request direct dial information by clicking the arrow next to the Edit button and selecting Enrich Direct Dial:
From the Prospect Searcher Page
The Prospect Searcher page shows both "Net New" contacts (people who haven't been added to your Apollo instance yet) and existing contacts. Regardless of which group you are viewing, you can request direct dials by selecting at least one contact and then clicking the Add to Contacts button, as shown below:
This will cause a modal to appear, from which you can request direct dial enrichment for the selected contact(s):
You can also have this option selected as the default by going to Settings > Prospecting Configuration and enabling the setting shown below:
Note: This setting will also cause direct dials to be requested for any contacts added from Linkedin (detailed below).
From Linkedin Through the Apollo Extension
As long as you are using Google Chrome as your browser and have our extension installed (found here), you will be able to request direct dials for any profile that you see on Linkedin.
If the contact you are viewing on Linkedin has already been added to Apollo, then you will need to click Request Direct Dial while the extension is open:
If the contact you are viewing on Linkedin has not been added to Apollo yet, then you will first need to click + Add to Contacts while the extension is open:
Once added, you will see the Request Direct Dial option appear in the extension:
Lastly, if you would like to generally request direct dials for all contacts added from Linkedin (and the Prospect Searcher page), then you can do so by going to Settings > Prospecting Configuration and enabling this setting:
Then, when are viewing a list of contacts on Linkedin (for example), we will automatically request direct dials for them as soon as you click Prospect (x) Contacts:
Note: This will also apply to contacts that are added from their Linkedin profiles (i.e. the second screenshot in this section).
